Privacy at the Bureau
What the Bureau stores (almost nothing), what it never sees (your lists), and how the free service stays free.
This site is a single page that works mostly inside your browser. Your language choice is stored in one small functional cookie; your search history and your favourites live only in your browser’s local storage, on your own device — the Bureau never sees them.
When you launch a search, the Bureau’s own server questions public DNS and RDAP registries on your behalf. To keep this service free and alive, every API request passes a short-lived rate counter: a rough IP fingerprint kept in a temporary file and discarded after a minute. Nothing is profiled, sold or archived.
No analytics run by default. If one is ever added, this page will say so plainly. Advertising spaces, when present, are clearly labelled and may lead to partner sites (such as Hostinger) whose own policies then apply — those links are marked as sponsored.
